Social Enterprise Centre - Values

The values of social enterprises are closely linked with the 1995 International Co-operative Alliance Values and Principles Statement:

Values
• Co-operatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equity and solidarity
• In the tradition of their founders, co-operatives also believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others

Principles
1. Voluntary and open membership
2. Democratic member control
3. Members economic participation
4. Autonomy and independence
5. Member education, training and information
6. Co-operation among co-operatives
7. Concern for the community

Joining The Social Enterprise Centre

What are the benefits?
If you are thinking of starting a social enterprise, then here is all you need to get going: contacts, resources, advice, support, office space, and working with other people to develop your plans!

How do I join?
Please fill in the membership application form and send an annual membership subscription of £24.00. This will enable you to use the Centre, after a conversation with the Project Manager about what services you are likely to need.
